Andrew Tewson is an artist and illustrator with more than 20 years' experience. After graduating in Illustration from Bournemouth College of Art, he has worked on many commissions for book publishers, including Oxford University Press, Heinemann and Ladybird, and for magazines and newspapers.
His illustrations are meticulously detailed and very highly finished, and he works principally in gouache and acrylic, using oils for larger gallery paintings. His work reflects a love of the natural world, and covers animal, avian and marine subjects, as well as botanical and carefully researched depictions of prehistoric life. His passion for conservation and wildlife is limitless, and he actively supports many charities, from the Rainforest Foundation to St Tiggywinkles. He lives in rural Dorset.
