Born in Britain in 1984, Ben Waddams’s childhood was split between the UK and North America; the differing landscapes made a huge impression on both his mind and his art. After gaining a degree in Fine Art and Geography in 2006, he set off on a solo expedition through Africa and Central America. ‘I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled through some truly mesmerising areas of the world, and this is where I take my inspiration from.’
Ben is dedicated to raising awareness about conservation problems. ‘There needs to be that appreciation of wildlife, gained through the descriptions of the place or the portrait of the animal for people to change their lifestyles with the aim to conserve the species on this planet.’
