




John Davis is a wildlife artist and illustrator, having contributed to many publications over the years including work for the RSPB, BBC Wildlife magazine, and books including The Birds of the Western Palearctic, Downland Wildlife, Heathlands and Birds of Surrey.
Essentially a bird specialist, John is also an excellent mammal, invertebrate and landscape artist. He usually favours watercolour, but also enjoys working with acrylics and oils. He has won several awards including the RSPB Fine Art Award: British Birds Illustrator of the Year. Though he does much illustration work, he is happiest sketching in the field on his beloved South Downs.
He lives in West Sussex with his wife and two young children.
